DIY CAMERA
Some in-camera cyanotypes taken with the second version of a self-made box camera. The first one was a little smaller than 5cm in every dimension, the second one was about 8 x 8 x 8 cm. The lens has a focal distance of around 100 mm, which is why I mounted it on a small wooden frame in front of the box to make the distance longer. It needs more light than the one in the smaller box, which means that exposure time is a bit longer. It takes around 4-6 hours to get a picture in bright daylight, compared to 2 h with the smaller lens. While images are bigger and sharper, to me the smaller ones actually look a bit more interesting. I do look forward to experimenting more, possibly with wider angles and in other locations.
